This news might shock the Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphone users, as NowSecure, the Chicago based popular mobile security research hub, has found Samsung Galaxy S6, S5, S4 and S4Mini vulnerable to the hackers. This news can leave a deep impact on the 600 million user base of this popular South Korean company. Where, all the tech giants are claiming to develop so many inbuilt support to secure the mobile data, especially Samsung claiming to provide better security in its flagship devices, specifically on S6 and S6 Edge, this news might hit hard the latest smartphone market. Because, it is not only limited to the Samsung users. Now this question may arrive that how safe the other premium devices are, as they claim, at the same time.
NowSecure's mobile security specialist Ryan Welton has unfold the flaw in Samsung's one of the in-built apps, which exposes the specific devices for unauthorized access. It is not that this mobile security hub has noticed this fact just now. The leading South Korean hub received an alert regarding this issue back in December, last year, as the CEO Andrew Hoog, NowSecure, claims it officially. According to the company, Samsung said that, they were working on a patch with the carriers. They started delivering devices with revived setup featuring Android 4.2 and above with time. But, NowSecure is still in doubt and assuming that, most of the devices, even in the present lot are vulnerable for hacking.
This problem has started with the inbuilt default keyboard app SwiftKey, which headed the entire line of the premium Samsung devices to danger by requiring an update for language developments through an unencrypted source. This activity on Samsung devices denotes that, if one wants to break in from a proxy server then it won't be difficult at all, especially for the seasoned hackers.
Now, the question is what may happen?
This is a loop hole, which can drown the entire system, if it is triggered by the hackers. One can easily control all the security sensors including GPS and Camera. They can control applications and install unwanted venomous apps, which can retire the entire system and make your mobile data vulnerable. Your personal data, like messages and images can be used against you. Even one can write and send messages without your permission and all these activities can be performed from your device through an unauthorized remote access.
This disaster can create an impact onthe large number of users for purchasing Samsung's prime smartphones from vendors, such as Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. According to the sources, when Verizon and Sprint mobile authorities were asked about this, none of them replied and remained silent on this issue.
In other hand, SwiftKey interpreter has stated on behalf of the company that, they are aware of the problem, but they have assured complete safety over SwiftKey keyboard installation from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The spokesperson has also mentioned that SwiftKey admins are investigating the issue at present.
Samsung in their statement mentioned that, they were trying to fix Knox Software and was working on its update. Knox Software is Samsung's self-made security system comes inbuilt in premium Samsung devices to fix bugs and security issues automatically. Samsung assures that, if anything happens this way then its soul security system will take care of it.
To avoid such unpleasant situation and to protect mobile data, users need to avoid unrecognized Wi-Fi. Apart from it, they must change their handset and inform the carrier, if anything happens in the predicted way.
